  About PCMLS

The Park City Board of REALTORS® was formed in 1980 and has been an active force in the community and real estate industry in Park City since that time. The Board consists of approximately 500 full time and part time REALTOR® members and 80 Affiliate (real estate related) members. The Board Office is staffed by an Association Executive, two full time personnel and part time personnel.

A REALTOR® is much more than just a licensed real estate agent. A REALTOR® is a real estate professional who is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, UTAH ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and the PARK CITY BOARD OF REALTORS® subscribing to its strict Code of Ethics. This distinguished professional is committed to protecting and promoting private ownership of real property, establishing and maintaining high professional standards of practice, and creating unity in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® organization.

There are many designations that REALTORS® may attain as a member of the National Association of REALTORS® in conjunction with its Institutes, Societies and Councils. Fifteen designations are available for professionals who want to excel in real property and land use consulting, commercial sales, residential sales, management and brokerage, appraisals, property management, counseling and legal issues, leadership, industrial areas and buyer representation.

The designations offer REALTORS® the opportunity to increase members' skills, knowledge and productivity. You'll find the list of designations in Real Estate Q & A's on our website under Professional Designations.

Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) are two frequently cited advanced education designations that REALTORS® strive to attain after obtaining their license with the Division of Real Estate.

The GRI designation requires six specialized classes of real estate transactions, totaling 89 hours that is controlled by the UTAH ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.

The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) requires obtaining the GRI designation, three specialized classes, 75 transactions within the last five years and additional elective credits. An annual membership fee is required for use of the CRS designation.

The Utah Division of Real Estate requires licensed real estate agents to complete twelve classroom hours of certified continuing real estate education within the two-year period preceding the licensee's renewal date.

The Park City Board of REALTORS® is a proud and active participant in many community services. The countless hours, donations and creative energy expended by local REALTORS® have benefited a number of local causes and programs. The largest community effort has been the Annual Luxury Home Tour of Deer Valley/Park City. For the past eight years, the proceeds have been donated to the Peace House of Summit and Wasatch Counties and the YWCA Women in Jeopardy program.
